Hatebreed - I Will Be Heard

 

Again I chose a simple riff that sounds really awesome. Hatebreed are one of my favorite bands because of their brutal and simple riffing, and the fact that they're hardly having any complicated stuff in any song, but still they sound killer.

I Will Be Heard is from their second album; Perseverance, that was realeased in 2002 by Universal. It was produced by Matt Hyde. It goes in around 95 BPM.

Mastodon - Oblivion

 

Today I chose the song Oblivion, the opening track for Mastodons latest album Crack The Skye, which was released in 2009 by Reprise Records. I chose this riff because of it's simplicity and epicness. I mean what another riff only uses two notes. C and C#. And it sounds real good!
